I'm Emily Dixon, and I’m a writer.

 

On this site, you will find a selection of short stories, micro-fiction and twist endings that make you look at the story differently the second time around.

 

As a writer, I've been honing my craft for years, fine-tuning my skills and developing a distinct voice. My writing style is infused with a healthy dose of dark humour, and I'm not afraid to use a bit of swearing to get my point across. You won't find any romance novels in my portfolio!

 

Whether it's in my short stories, micro-fiction, or longer works, I see writing as a craft that deserves attention to detail, and I make sure all my work is up to that standard.

 

My interest in screenplays has also allowed me to expand my creativity and experiment with unique storytelling techniques.

My love for the craft led me to become a Short Story Judge for Secret Attic and Fictionette (both now sadly closed)..

I have also worked as an editor and proofreader for various online publications, students and writers.
